Seeker of truth, sunshine and silver-linings!

I’m thrilled to be here in the queen city and to join Good Day Charlotte as their Right Now news anchor!

I’m one of those lucky people who is doing exactly what I dreamed of doing while growing up just outside of Washington, D.C. My love for broadcast journalism began in elementary school, delivering the morning announcements daily to students and staff. The desire to keep people informed and tell public-interest stories led me to the University of Maryland College Park. There I honed my skills as a reporter and anchor for UMTV, digging up stories that mattered most to people on and off campus.

After graduation, I went to work for CTV News, a Maryland cable station just outside Washington, D.C., where national news is often local news. As a general assignment reporter, I covered news and events from the state capital in Annapolis to Capitol Hill. My most memorable experiences include coverage of the Baltimore riots, the Navy Yard shooting, March on Washington events, and the inaugurations of President Barack Obama. I regularly covered the governor of Maryland and General Assembly, as well as members of Congress, and on occasion, the Supreme Court. To me, the best part of my job is getting out into the community and meeting everyday heroes who are doing incredible things… those are the folks who truly inspire me. That’s how you ensure that stories which should be told, are being told.

When I wasn’t in the field as a reporter, I produced and anchored CTV's live nightly newscasts. I also hosted a 30-minute talk show called, 'A Different Look,' which focused on education, health, politics and other community issues. My on-air experience also includes work as a freelance television host for WUSA9, the CBS-affiliate in Washington, D.C.

Outside of daily news, I have produced two award-winning documentary series on police brutality, and military recruitment and training practices. Those investigations took me out of state, including on a trip to U.S. Marine Corps training in Parris Island, S.C. My investigative reporting has been recognized by the Radio Television Digital News Association and the Society of Professional Journalists.

Growing up in Northern Virginia, I played high school and AAU basketball, as well as varsity field hockey and lacrosse. Staying active is important to me, and I enjoy getting outdoors and exploring local running and hiking trails.

When I’m not working, I love listening to live music, trying new foods, meeting new people, and exploring all that Charlotte and the Carolinas have to offer (which is a lot)! I’m an avid baker and have been told my desserts are “life-changing!” A sports enthusiast, I especially enjoy cheering on the Panthers, Hornets and of course my Maryland Terrapins!

The best part of my day is helping you jump start your day, as part of the Fox 46 morning crew, weekdays from 4:30 to 9 a.m. Then, keeping you informed of the latest headlines and notable events on Fox 46 Now, Charlotte’s only all-digital newscast at 11 a.m. I hope you’ll join me then! Feel free to connect with me on social media or by email. Share your story ideas or just say hello!
