After two decades in TV, I gotta' say....I'm still hooked! I love everything about it: shooting, writing, reporting on everything from news to sports, to entertainment.
As the Nightside Executive Producer, I'm thrilled to be part of FOX 46, where cutting edge technology plays a huge role in all we do. In my position, my main focus, is to insure you get the news you need on FOX 46 at both 6 and 10pm.
Before Charlotte, I worked in Austin, TX, as an Executive Producer, and Reporter/Fill In Anchor. In Austin, I helped create and launch an hour long lifestyle/entertainment show (the first of its' kind in the market, which won a TX Associated Press Award), helped launched my station's weekend morning news, and re-launch weekday morning news. I also secured, and conducted several interviews with “A” list celebrities, musicians, and newsmakers.
As a reporter, I spent 10 days in New Orleans, covering Hurricane Katrina, The Anniversary of Hurricane Rita, the passing of Governor Ann Richards, and produced a 5 part series on the life, legacy, and passing of Lady Bird Johnson. I also had the privilege of covering Ft. Campbell's 101st Airborne Division, Sled Dog Racers in Upper Michigan, and forecasting the weather along Lake Superior, where we had 397” of snow the year I worked there. Over the years,
I've worked in several markets as a News Reporter/Weather Anchor: Austin, Nashville, Asheville, Evansville, Marquette, and Cleveland, OH.
I'm a proud graduate of West Virginia University's Perley Isaac Reed School of Journalism. Let's GO Mountaineers! I'm also a die-hard Dallas Cowboys fan.
When I'm not working, I love to hit the gym, hang with my friends, play golf, explore local restaurants, check out pro-sports teams in action, and learn more about The Queen City's rich history. Active in the Junior League of Austin and Charlotte, I love to volunteer with Coats For Kids, and Mobile Loaves and Fishes.
