It's time to toss those Thanksgiving leftovers, says the CDC

If there are Thanksgiving leftovers in the refrigerator, it is time for them to go, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

Each year, November 29th is National Throw Out Your Leftovers Day, and this year that's less than a week after Thanksgiving. But the CDC says Monday, the 27th was actually the last day to safely eat Thanksgiving leftovers, or put them in the freezer.

Leftovers can be stored in the fridge for three or four days to ensure they're safe to eat, according to the CDC.

After three or four days, they should be thrown away or put in the freezer, where they can be stored indefinitely.
