STATESVILLE, NC - A man has turned himself in for the murder of 19-year-old Emmanuel Teasley.
Investigators obtained a murder warrant for Christopher Moore, 24, on Monday.
While investigating detectives say the community provided a lot of assistance in identifying the suspect.
Moore turned himself into the Catawba County Sheriff's Department Tuesday, April 12, where he was placed in the Catawba County Detention Facility with no bond.
Police say Teasley was found dead on 122 S. Lackey St. in Statesville around 10 p.m. Saturday night, April 2.
Statesville police say Teasley suffered from a gunshot wound to the head inside the home.
During the investigation, officials believe Teasley was at the residence attending a party when an unknown suspect shot him during an altercation.
