CHARLOTTE - The 30-year-old Heroes Convention 2016 is back in Charlotte and superheroes are making their appearances all over the area.
The convention, founded in 1982 by Shelton Drum, owner of Charlotte's Heroes Aren't Hard to Find comics shop, is the largest in the south east and takes place on Father's Day weekend, allowing fathers and their kids to bond outside of the home while mingling with everyday residents dressed up in superhero costumes.
The family-friendly, comics-hub HeroesCon draws hundreds of comic fans, legendary artists and those interested in cosplay from every region of the country to the Charlotte Convention Center where they can learn more about and take pictures with some of their favorite superheroes.
But don't miss out. The last day of HeroesCon is Sunday, June 19.
