FOX 46 Charlotte spoke with Stephanie’s daughters who have a message for anyone in an abusive relationship.
"Just because they say they love you, that ain’t true,” said Marquita Wallace. “Love don’t hurt. Love don’t kill.”
Wallace knew her mother was in a dangerous relationship but never thought Stanly Jenkins would go this far. Marquita and her sister Latasha Wallace got a 2:00 AM call from police that someone in the family house on Lincoln Street was stabbed. When the sisters arrived, they found police cars and their mother’s body, dead inside her home. The sisters tell Fox46 Charlotte they are still in shock.
“If that’s something you are going through please get yourself out,” said Marquita Wallace. “I wish my momma would have gotten herself out because we are hurt, to the core.”
