Daycare worker accused of inappropriately touching boys in Fort Mill

- A Fort Mill daycare worker is facing multiple charges after police say he inappropriately touched two children.

Steven M. Gentry turned himself in to police at 7:54 a.m. Wednesday, April 27 at The Moss Justice Center on criminal sexual conduct charges.

On March 31, 2016 the York County Sheriff's Office had received a referral from S.C. Department Social Services concerning possible inappropriate touching of two 8-year-old male children by an employee at a daycare facility located at 1014 Maxwell Mill Rd. in Fort Mill.

The YCSO and DSS continue with the investigation. The children have been scheduled for a forensic interview.

Gentry was transported to the York County Detention Center where he was booked and processed.
