CHARLOTTE, NC (FOX 46) - ABC permits have been suspended at Club Lust after a man was shot and killed inside the north Charlotte club on Sunday.
Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police responded to Club Lust at 124 Atando Avenue, around 3:30 a.m. where they found 34-year-old Gregory Spearman suffering from a gunshot wound.
Spearman was transported to Carolinas Medical Center where he later died. His family has been notified of his death.
Officers viewed surveillance video showing a fight broke out among several patrons. The fight ended when shots were fired and a victim was seen crawling on the floor, according to the police report.
The police report said patrons began to leave the club after the incident. The suspect, identified as Wade Mosley was seen placing an object on the stage, then walking over to where Spearman lay, standing over him pointing and possibly taunting, according to the report. Mosley returned to the stage, picked up the dark object and put it in his pocket. Mosley walked upstairs, put on a jacket, went back downstairs and picked up what police believed to be a shell casing. He then walked outside to his car through a side door, according to the report.
Officers confirmed Mosley works as security at the club and he is facing murder charges.
The club has experienced a pattern of violence in the past 12 months, including multiple incidents of assault and a rape, according to police.
The summary suspension is immediate and in effect until the case is heard by the Office of Administrative Hearings.
Anyone with information about this incident is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 704-334-1600.
