CHARLOTTE, NC (WJZY) - A Mecklenburg County Sheriff's Office Dodge Charger went up in flames early Monday morning.
CFD said on Tuesday, April 19 the fire was intentionally set.
As we've reported, an employee noticed the fire around 6:20 a.m. Monday, April 18 at a facility located at 901 Elizabeth Avenue.
After the fire was extinguished, the cause of the fire was listed as accidental.
However, as with any investigation, deputies said additional information was received later in the day leading crews to investigate the incident as arson.
The Fire Investigation Task Force continues to look into this. The fire has been reclassified as incendiary.
