Officials: Shots fired inside N. Charleston mall

- North Charleston officials say shots were fired inside Northwoods Mall on Monday.

The North Charleston Police Department has confirmed that there was no active shooter situation at the mall as of 6:45 p.m. 

North Charleston Mayor Keith Summey told The Post and Courier that no one was injured, although there was some damage to mall property.

The mall shut down when the incident occurred and will remain closed for the rest of the night as local authorities are still conducting an investigation, according to the Northwoods Mall Facebook page.
