For the final time, riders at Carowinds had to choose between North and South Carolina when boarding the park's iconic wooden coaster.
It's estimated between 60 and 70 tons of nails hold up the coaster, which has provided more than 40 million rides in its 39 years.
The roller coaster was named after a 1958 movie of the same title. For many people, the coaster was part of childhood.
Carowinds has not yet announced what will replace the coaster but has hinted it will be a water ride.
