PSA Airlines, an American Airlines regional carrier, is canceling roughly 70 flights out of Charlotte for Sunday evening and through Monday morning.
The cancellations are due to a "technical issue."
"We understand these cancellations have been frustrating for our customers, and we are doing everything in our power to get things back to normal as quickly as possible," an AA spokesperson said.
These cancellations come after 120 PSA flights were canceled out of Charlotte on Thursday evening -- which has snowballed into cancelations, delays and all sorts of issues throughout the weekend.
"I've been receiving delay notices all day on my phone and then when I got to the airport I realized it's canceled," traveler Karen McNevin said.
With so many cancelations, many opted to rent vehicles fro the airport and drive to their final destination.
Now, rental car companies like Enterprise said they are all out of cars to rent for out-of-town travel for the time being.
"Yeah, since Thursday, it's basically been a no-go for anyone trying to go anywhere," a spokesperson said.
American Airlines has not responded to FOX 46 Charlotte's request for information relating to the specifics of the "technical issue."
