Authorities warn of drugs that look like candy following bust

HAPEVILLE, GA - A warning from the Hapeville Police Department after making a major bust Friday.

Police seized suspected marijuana, pills, cannabis pops, suspected powder cocaine, cash, and two firearms, one of which police said was reported stolen.

Investigators said they want parents, teachers, and coaches to be extra vigilant because the pills and lollipops are designed to look like candy.

They hope parents will share the dangers of such drugs with their children.

Hapeville Police Cpl. Jason Dyer said lead Det. M. Sanders, Det. S. Cushing and CSI S. McCollum in the department’s Criminal Investigation Division were instrumental in taking the dangerous drugs off the streets.
