The Charlotte City Council approved a $600,000 agreement for hosting the 2017 All-Star Game in Charlotte.

The city's contribution will cover public safety and traffic control costs and it is anticipated that it will be funded from sale proceeds of Interstate 277 land parcels.

The Charlotte Regional Visitors Authority (CRVA) will provide funding for any expenses above the $600,000 cap.
