Immigration Task Force Meeting at CPCC

The Immigration Task Force in Charlotte is tackling the challenge of making immigrants feel more welcomed.

The group held a community meeting at Central Piedmont Community College to get feedback on a resolution they'll present to City Council in late February.

Some of the ideas on the draft are more controversial than others, like creating community ID cards so those without proper identification can have some form of document.

The task force says the feedback is necessary in making sure the document they present can be implemented and impact the local immigration population.
