CHARLOTTE, N.C. (FOX 46 CHARLOTTE) - One of the four people injured in a deadly shooting that broke out on UNC Charlotte's campus Tuesday evening is listed in stable condition at the hospital, authorities said.
The Lambda Delta Chapter of Alpha Tau Omega at UNCC confirmed that one of their fraternity brothers, Drew Pescaro, was injured in the shooting. He was taken to the hospital and was listed in stable condition.
"We are saddened to say that we can confirm that Brother Drew Pescaro of the Lambda Delta Chapter of Alpha Tau Omega has been injured in relation to the active shooter situation that unfolded earlier today at UNC Charlotte's campus. He is currently under medical supervision at CMC and we will advise further updates as they come," Alpha Tau Omega at UNCC wrote on Facebook.
According to Drew Pescaro's LinkedIn page, he works as a sports writer for the Niner Times student newspaper and was a basketball manager for the Charlotte 49ers Men's Basketball team until January 2019.

The deadly shooting happened about 5:40 p.m. Tuesday, according to university officials. UNCC Niner Alerts tweeted that gunshots were reported near Kennedy Hall, an administrative building on campus.
Two people were killed and four others were injured during the attack. Officials have not released the names of the other victims.
The campus remained on lockdown for 12 hours following the shooting. The Kennedy building remains closed on Wednesday, May 1 due to an active crime scene, school officials said.
University officials said all final exams have been canceled through Sunday.
The FBI was assisting CMPD and other law enforcement partners at UNC Charlotte in the aftermath of the on-campus shooting. The shooting remained under investigation.
