Three teens arrested in 7-Eleven armed robbery

Three teenagers were arrested after police say the group robbed a 7-Eleven at gunpoint early Thursday morning.

The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department said the incident happened at 3:45 a.m. at the 7-Eleven gas station located at 5343 Monroe Road.

Detectives have charged Marquese Addison, 17, Ashanti Jackson, 18, and a 13-year-old male juvenile for their involvement.

The clerk told police he was inside the store when the three suspects entered and brandished a firearm. The group took property from the business and fled the scene on foot.

A K9 Unit responded to the scene and tracked the suspects towards a parked vehicle.  The three teenagers were located and taken into custody without incident.

Upon completion of the interviews, Addison and Jackson were transferred to the custody of the Mecklenburg County Sheriff’s Office.  The juvenile was taken to a juvenile facility.

Anyone with additional information concerning this case or the suspects is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 704-334-1600.
