CHARLOTTE, NC - The Brookshire Boulevard north bound lane near 485 was shut down for several hours Tuesday morning after a fatal wreck.
When officers arrived to the injury crash around 2:52 a.m. they found the driver of a Nissan Maxima had rear ended a 1995 Kenworth dump truck. Medic arrived on scene and pronounced Sebastian Jackson, the driver of the Nissan deceased.
CMPD says the driver and passenger of the dump truck were not injured,.
The driver of the dump truck was traveling northwest on Brookshire Boulevard just before the I-485 overpass. Jackson was traveling the same direction and rear ended the dump truck.
Speed and alcohol use were contributing factors for Jackson and he was not wearing his seatbelt, according to police.
