Gastonia police search for person of interest in road rage incident

- Gastonia Police are asking for the public’s help to locate a person of interest in a road rage case.

Officers said at 1:28 p.m. Tuesday, March 29 an aggravated assault was reported to police.

They said the case involved two vehicles that were stopped at a red light on North New Hope Road. After the light turned green, the car behind the front car blew the horn, and both vehicles later got on I-85 southbound.

Police said the suspect inside the front car fired a shot into the other car.

No one was struck or injured, and the victim pulled over to call 911.

The suspect vehicle is a 2001 tan colored Buick, license tag DMA3920, which is registered to 22-year-old Alan Michael Little of Lincolnton.

No one is charged at this time, but police said Little is a person of interest in the case.
