Police search for suspect in First Community Bank robbery

- The Huntersville Police Department is searching for a person who they say robbed a local bank. 

The incident happened around 11:10 a.m. Friday, April 1, 2016 at the First Community Bank located at 401 Gilead Road in Huntersville.

Police said a man entered the bank, approached one of the bank tellers and demanded money.

The suspect is described as a black male, 20-30 years old, 5’5” – 5’10”, 140-160 pounds, average build, with a black goatee and beard.

He was last spotted wearing a black in color “dew-rag” on his head, black sunglasses, a black in color hooded sweat shirt with blue lettering “Powerade”, khaki or cream-colored pants and brown work style boots. 

Police said the suspect fled the bank on foot with an undisclosed amount of money.

No arrest has been made at this time and the Huntersville Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying the suspect.
