CMPD search for suspect connected to 4 armed robberies

- The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department is seeking the public’s help in identifying one person who they say has committed four armed robberies.

The first incident occurred at approximately 1:41 a.m. March 25, 2016. An unknown man robbed the Kangaroo Express, located at 8008 Harris Station, at gunpoint. After receiving property from the business the suspects fled the scene.

The second incident happened at approximately 6:51 p.m. March 29, 2016. One man entered the Cricket business, located at 2818 W. Sugar Creek Road, and robbed the business at gunpoint.  They then fled the scene.

The third robbery happened at approximately 12:08 a.m. March 31, 2016. The two suspects entered the 7-Eleven business, located at 2701 The Plaza, and robbed the business at gunpoint.

Later that evening, at approximately 10:01 p.m., one of the suspects also robbed the Family Dollar, located at 5430 N. Tryon Street, at gunpoint.

The suspect is described as a black male, approximately 5’10” in height and a slim build. 

Detectives believe there may be one or two additional suspects assisting these two suspects with committing these robberies with only one or two of them actually entering the businesses.
