Forest fire in Burke County spans nearly 25 acres

- Several fire crews responded to a working forest fire Tuesday off of Knob Hill Drive in Connelly Springs, according to Burke County Emergency Management. 

The fire spanned about 20 - 25 acres off of Knob Hill Drive, according to the Love Lady Fire Department.
 
Crews responded to the blaze around 4:30 p.m. Tuesday. 
 
Three outbuildings have since been destroyed. About 50 firefighters were on scene from 4:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. on Tuesday. 
 
Fire officials said no injuries have been reported. 
 
The fire is still burning, but controlled with fire lines. The N.C. Forestry is monitoring the situation. No cause has been determined at this time. 

The area is not far from residential areas, but no alerts or evacuations are in place.
