Pineville Fire Department returns to service after losing brother

- The Pineville Volunteer Fire Department proudly returned to service on Monday, May 9.

In a ceremonial hand over, Monday morning, Fire Chief Michael Gerin called dispatch and placed Pineville Back into service, ready to answer all calls and in his words - ready to "RISE AND FIGHT AGAIN".

In a message to his members, he referenced a poem that was sent to him by another firefighter he friended back when he was rookie.

That poem that was read by Buffalo Bills Head Coach and Hall Of Famer Marv Levy to his team, after the Bills lost their 4th consecutive Super Bowl:

“Fight on, my men,” Sir Andrew Said

“A little I’m hurt but not yet slain.

“I’ll just lie down and bleed a while,

“And then I’ll rise and Fight again.”
