Rock Hill woman charged with felony DUI in deadly crash

- A Rock Hill woman has been charged with felony DUI in connection to a deadly crash in Rock Hill, according to Highway Patrol. 

Police said at 7:35 p.m. Thursday, June 9 they responded to a two-vehicle crash on Interstate-77 northbound, north of Rock Hill in York County. 

They said an Infinity rear-ended another Infinity. Both vehicles ran off the road down into an embankment. One of the vehicles overturned in the collision. 

Police said Jeannine Valdes, 35, of Rock Hill, is charged with felony DUI with the death after she rear-ended a vehicle with the driver, Gabrielle Williams, 21, of Charlotte and passenger, Lacee Sullivan, 23, of Monroe inside. 

Williams was driving a 2008 Infinity that overturned during the collision. She was wearing a seat-belt and was transported to CMC-Main. Sullivan was also wearing her seat-belt, but was entrapped. 

Sullivan was flown to CMC where she later died. 

Highway Patrol said the collision remains under investigation.
