Statesville man killed in Orlando shooting laid to rest

- Tevin Crosby, 25, from Statesville was a victim of the Orlando nightclub shooting where 49 were killed.

Celebration of life services will be on Wednesday, June 22, at 2 p.m. at Highland Acres Church of Christ, according to Statesville.com. Tevin will be buried in the Belmont Cemetery and will remain at the Rutledge Bingham Funeral Home until taken to the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church from 1 to 2 p.m.

Tevin had recently returned to Statesville for graduations.

Tevin owned a marketing firm, Total Entrepreneurs Concept in Michigan, according to the Orlando Sentinel.

"He was very ambitious," Chavis Crosby, Tevin's brother said. "Whatever goal he had in mind, he worked hard. Whether alone or on a team, he worked on that goal."

Tevin studied business administration at Strayer University South and attended West Iredell High School.
