Surveillance camera catches cell phone store armed robbery suspects

Union County Sheriff’s deputies said two men held up a Verizon store Thursday morning in Indian Trail.

It happened shortly after 10 a.m. at 14045-C6 E on Independence Boulevard.

Authorities described the suspects as two thin built black men, who were possibly wearing wigs and armed with a handgun at the time of the incident.

Surveillance cameras caught the two leaving in a four door vehicle, possible a Dodge Charger, according to police.

It us unknown which direction the vehicle traveled once it left the area.

The Union County Sheriff’s Office is asking anyone with knowledge of the crime to come forward.
