The surveillance photos released by the bank helped citizens identify the suspect and contact authorities.

Police say before Morgan was arrested he contacted a local attorney, who made arrangements for Morgan to turn himself in.

“This investigation highlights the value of good video surveillance and media and citizen assistance in law enforcement investigations,” said Sheriff Barry Faile.  “Very soon after we circulated the pictures of Morgan, he was identified and in custody.  We are thankful the victim was not harmed and are happy her robber has been arrested.”

The Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public's help in identifying a man who they said robbed a woman at an ATM.

The incident happened around 9:30 p.m. Monday, June 20. Deputies said the woman, who was alone, drove her car up to the ATM at Founders Federal Credit Union located at 9881 Charlotte Highway to withdraw cash.

At 8:51 p.m. a dark colored Toyota truck parked in the Walmart parking lot. A man got out of the truck and entered the vestibule area of Walmart, where he appeared to be looking at his cell phone. He stayed in Walmart until 9:19 p.m., when he got back in the truck and drove away onto Charlotte Highway, according to police.

Deputies said a white man wearing a brown shirt was apparently watching the ATM from the grassy area off the back parking lot.

As the woman approached the ATM, the man walked up to her car from the back as he pulled his shirt up to partially conceal his head and face. He demanded money and told the woman he would not hurt her if he did not have to.

The woman withdrew cash, which the robber took. Deputies said the robber told the woman he was sorry he had to do it as he left on foot behind Founders toward Harrisburg Road. The man did not tell the woman he had a weapon and did not show a weapon.

The victim was not hurt in the incident, deputies said.
