Getting Results: Charlotte company helps stolen food truck owners

- After a food truck was stolen last month, a Charlotte based company is taking action in the hopes of getting the truck back on the road.

Jill Young and her husband continue to call police weekly, frustrated the suspect who stole their truck hasn't been caught.

"This has been our livelihood. Our life has stopped because of the situation," Jill Young said.

Their unique red trailer was stolen and recovered days later with thousands of dollars of equipment missing.

Jill Young was forced to e-mail frequent customers, notifying them they would be out of business.

AvidXchange invited the truck for a lunch service once before, where employees immediately fell in love with the food and friendly service.

"We were devastated. We couldn't believe such bad luck happened to a good family," said one employee.

So employees took action, to get results by inviting the Young's back for lunch service. This time with their smaller push cart.

"AvidXchange also jumped in and pitched in to buy all the employees in the entire building Italian Ice from them just to bring them some of their business back."

Nearly every one of the 260 employees purchased Italian ice, bringing a much needed boost to a family who lost their only source of income.

"It really breaks me down that there are people with compassion and people with genuine and who really care," Jill Young said.

AvidXchange is continuing to take action to get results for the Young family.
