18-year-old charged after man found shot in car in Shelby

- A teenager has been charged after a driver was found shot overnight inside a vehicle in Shelby. 

According to police, the shooting happened at 1:22 a.m. Wednesday, near 317 Clegg Street. As officers arrived on scene, they found Tiyquisha Shermisha Jackson, 20, in the driver's seat with an apparent gunshot wound. 

Jackson was taken to CHS-Cleveland and later transferred to CHS-Main for treatment. 

Corey Keshawn Brown, 18, was determined to be a suspect in this case. He's been charged with assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury. Brown is currently being held at the Cleveland County Detention Center without bond.
