Police offer $5K reward in connection to deadly Monroe shooting

- Monroe Police are investigating a deadly shooting where a man was shot in the chest at a hotel, according to police.

Officers responded to the Relax Inn off Roosevelt Blvd. in reference to a shooting on Tuesday night around 11:20 p.m.

When officers arrived they found Danny McGriff, 39, dead on a walkway from an apparent gunshot wound to the chest, according to police.

Union County Crime Stoppers has offered a reward of up to $5,000 that leads to the arrest of the suspect or suspects in this case.
