MONROE, NC (WJZY) - Detectives say four people have been charged in connection to the shooting death of a Lancaster, SC man who was found dead at a motel Tuesday in Monroe.
At about 11:20 p.m., officers were called to the Relax Inn in the 600 block of W. Roosevelt Boulevard in reference to a shooting. Danny McGiff, Jr. 39, of Lancaster, was found dead on the walkway from an apparent gunshot wound to the chest, according to police.
On Thursday, July 28, 2016, detectives along with Special Agents of the State Bureau of Investigation arrested and charged four suspects with the murder.
Jarvis Dakota Miller, 27; Robert Cordara Hood, 27; Charles Denziele, all of Monroe; and Demetress Leandra Bennett, 23 of Wadesboro, NC were arrested and charged with first degree murder, robbery with a dangerous weapon, and conspiracy to commit robbery. Miller was also charged with possession of a firearm by felon.
They are all currently being held under no bond in the Union County Jail.
