Rock Hill woman accused of stabbing boyfriend

- A Rock Hill woman has been charged with attempted murder against her boyfriend, according to police.

Officers were called out to the 300 block of Chestnut Street in reference to a stabbing on Saturday around 1:00 a.m.

When officers arrived they found Bernard Gaither inside the hall way holding his stomach. The officers noticed a large amount of blood on his torso and pants.

One of the officers applied pressure to Gaither's wound. He told the officers his girlfriend Mattie Walker,35, had stabbed him.

One of the officers found Walker at the apartment. She was taken to the Rock Hill Jail.

Gaither was taken to Piedmont Medical Center with non-life threatening wounds.

Walker has been charged with attempted murder and possession of a weapon during a crime of violence.
