"I was terrified": Two teen girls shot with pellet gun

- FOX 46 Charlotte spoke exclusively with a mother and her daughter shot with a pellet gun while walking with a friend, who was also shot.

Wednesday afternoon's attack came mere hours after someone else reported a similar run in near Concord Mills Tuesday night.

"Me and my friend were walking home from the pool," Vivan Cato explained.

Cato said a group of people in a car whizzed up honking at them.

"Another car came up behind with an automatic BB gun and started shooting at us. We got scared and we realized we had just gotten hit by one of the little pellets," she said.

Cato realized she had been shot in her left shoulder and rushed home to tell her mother.

"Oh it was disturbing...I mean they came home at 3:30 in the afternoon and say mom we've been shot," Dianne said, Cato's mom.

Dianne said she is very surprised at something like this happening because they live in such a quiet neighborhood.

"Ya know run of the mill things happen with kids being out of school...but being shot I was terrified."

Concord police reached out to FOX 46 Charlotte and said they now strongly believe the Highland Creek pellet shootings are connected to a series of similar attacks Tuesday night in Concord.
