CHARLOTTE, NC (WJZY) - The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department announced Monday they've charged Timothy Crumitie, 50, for his involvement in the murder of Michael Gretsinger. His family has been notified of his death.
During the investigation, detectives identified Crumitie as the suspect in the case and obtained warrants for his arrest.
On August 7, Crumitie was arrested and charged with Attempted Murder, Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon, 1st Degree Kidnapping, and Assault on a Female.
On Monday, August 15, the victim in this case, Michael Gretsinger, succumbed to his injuries as was pronounced deceased.
Crumitie is currently in the custody of the Mecklenburg County Sheriff’s Office and his Attempted Murder charge will be enhanced to Murder.
