GASTONIA, NC (WJZY) - A Gastonia couple is facing charges after police said they overdosed on heroin with their two children home.
The incident happened on Saturday, August 13 at 7:20 p.m. at a residence located along W Fourth Avenue.
According to the Gastonia Police Department, when officers arrived on scene both parents were being treated by medical personnel. They believe the couple overdosed on heroin.
Each parent is facing two counts each of contributing to the delinquency of a minor.
DSS was contacted and a family member is involved, police say.
