CMPD asking for public's help in identifying bank robber

- Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police are asking for the public's help in identifying a suspect involved in a Wells Fargo Bank robbery.

Police say on Friday around 9:00 a.m. the suspect entered the bank on N. Tryon Street and gave the the bank teller a note stating that it was a robbery. The note also said he had a weapon, according to police.

Once the suspect received the money he left and headed towards Sugar Creek Road.

The suspect is described as in 40's, 6'1," and thin. He was last seen wearing a yellow construction vest, white hard hat, jeans and black tennis shoes.
