Police search for suspects in pawn shop armed robbery

- Charlotte-Mecklenburg police are searching for two men who they say robbed a local pawn shop at gunpoint. 

The incident happened at 2:15 p.m. Thursday, August 25 at the EZ Pawn located at 3701 Monroe Road. 

Officers said two men entered the store and forced the employees to the ground at gunpoint, and then targeted the firearms section inside. 

The first suspect is described as a dark skinned black male in his mid-20’s, approximately 6’2”, 200 lbs., and was last seen wearing a red t-shirt with USA on it, black socks with red stripes, beige shorts and red shoes with white stripes. 

The second suspect is described as a black male in his mid-20’s, approximately 6’1”, 220 lbs., and was last seen wearing a grey hoodie sweatshirt, blue pants with black shorts over them, black and grey shoes and a white hard hat.

Police say the third suspect isn’t shown.
