Arrest made in murder at southwest Charlotte hotel

- UPDATE: 11/17/16 (12:45 a.m.) Charlotte-Meckleburg Police have charged Michael Mandrell Marble for the murder of Louis Henry Fuquan back in September.

Marble turned himself into police headquarters on Wednesday where he was interviewed and placed under arrest for first-degree murder, according to CMPD.

Officers responded to the Econo Lodge in southwest Charlotte just before midnight on Monday, September 12. He was pronounced dead by Medic.

Detectives have determined there are additional suspects involved in this case. This is an ongoing, active investigation.

Charlotte-Mecklenburg police responded to a deadly overnight shooting at an Econo Lodge in southwest Charlotte.

Officers were called out to the motel in the 500 block of Clanton Road just before midnight Monday, September 12.

Upon arrival, police said they found Louis Henry Fuqua shot at the scene. Fuqua was pronounced dead by Medic.

There are no arrests at this time.
