CHARLOTTE, NC (FOX 46) - The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department is refusing to release more than 80 minutes of video from the shooting death of Keith Scott, according to the Charlotte Observer.
The paper reports that their lawyer was informed by CMPD's legal team that the video is graphic, bloody and shows officers performing CPR while Scott is gasping for his last breaths.
The video wasn't released to Scott's family for this reason as well.
CMPD released a few minutes worth of dash cam and body cam video showing the moments when the shooting actually happened.
The Observer says police told them much of the rest of the video is just officers mulling around, processing the scene.
