UPDATE: Missing 14-year-old from Waxhaw found safe

- UPDATE: (12/16/16 9:45 a.m.) - The Union County Sheriff's Office said Clay Wesley Green, 14, was located alive and well Friday morning in Cleveland County. 

Clay left on foot from a foster home in Union County on November 14.

The Union County Sheriff's Office is requesting the public's help with locating a missing 14-year-old boy. 

Deputies said on Monday, November 14, Clay Wesley Green left on foot from his foster parents' house in Waxhaw. 

Green has willingly run away from his foster parents' house in the past. He last ran away from home on Saturday, September 24 before he was found safe by Kings Mountain Police. 

Green is described as a 14-year-old white male, 5'0" tall, weighing 90 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a neon yellow long sleeve shirt sweat shirt, khaki pants, Nike tennis shoes, and was carrying a dark colored book bag. 

According to police, Green has a history of running away from foster homes. He had been located in several different locations in Kings Mountain along with the Pleasant Hill Church Road / Ben Davis Road area near Shelby.

Union County Sheriff’s deputies have been in contact with DSS and law enforcement agencies in Cleveland County but Clay’s whereabouts are still unknown.
