Strangers save bride's wedding day after evacuation of SC coast

- While this bride to be may look calm now, just a few short days ago, she wasn't even sure if her wedding, scheduled to take place in Charleston, was even going to happen.

"I keep saying it was an emotional rollercoaster. I was like we'll make this work and then there's no way we can make this work. Now we have to find a new place, we're not gonna find a place," Samantha Berinsky said

Then when Governor Haley issued evacuation orders Tuesday, Berinsky and her fiancé Tyler Hord had to make the call, Cancel the wedding or make a mad dash to find a new location.

Berinsky's matron and maid of honor chose the latter.

"Just looking everywhere! We looked all through Rock Hill, Places in Charlotte, places in Fort Mill," Jenna Berinsky

That's when they found The City Club of Rock Hill. The problem was, it was already booked by the Rock Hill High School class of 1991. Still, event coordinator Margie Barnett wasn't about to give up hope

"As soon as they heard, they said, they have to have this place. They have to have their dream wedding. Call them now and tell them it's theirs," Samantha Berinsky said.

A random act of kindness that now saved the seemingly doomed wedding.

"So within 8 hours, we completely had a venue that we knew we were going to be able to get. And within 24 hours. Everything had been officially moved," Jenna Berinsky said.

"Being able to get all of this done with such a large size wedding, I mean they have 200 people. So not a small wedding or anything this is a large wedding, getting it all together has definitely been tough but we are happy to do it," General Manager of The City Club of Rock Hill Adam Ferguson said.

The City Club of Rock Hill was even able to match the same menu they had planned in Charleston for their wedding here on Saturday.

"We can't thank the class of 91 from rock hill high any more than we can. They are wonderful humans and it really shows that there is wonderful people in this world," Jenna Berinsky said.

So move over Hurricane Matthew, the wedding is a go!

"Hurricane Matthew may hit Charleston, but Hurricane Hord is hitting Rock Hill hard,” Samantha Berinsky said.
