CHARLOTTE, NC (FOX 46) - A local homeowner opened fire on someone who was breaking into their home, according to Charlotte-Mecklenburg police.
The incident happened at 9:37 p.m. Friday, October 28 along the 10700 block of Osprey Drive.
Police said at this time, it appears the homeowner fired shots during the break-in and possibly struck one of the suspects.
They said it appears at this time the homeowner and intruder knew one another.
One person was transported to CMC with unknown injuries, Medic said.
