On Tuesday, Nov. 15 the Sheriff's Office charged two men with the murder of Danny Ray Goins.

Kyle Ray Goins, 37, and Timmons (Tim) Ray Martin, 33, both of Kings Mountain, were taken into custody. Both are currently being held at the Cleveland County Detention Center without bond.

Family tells FOX 46 Charlotte the man responsible is Goins' own son.

"He's probably one of the best brother's you could have asked for," said Rodney Goins, the brother of Danny.

Family and friends believe Danny's son was stealing money for drugs when he was killed.

“Investigators have been working this case none stop and I am proud of the work they have done. My thoughts and prayers go out to the Goins family. I know this family is struggling right now with the outcome of this investigation," said Sheriff Norman in a written statement, released on Tuesday.
