Police: Lenoir man charged with possession of meth on school property

- A Lenoir man has been charged for having drugs on school property, according to Lenoir Police.

On Wednesday the Lenoir Police Department School Resource Officer was told by school personnel of a suspicious vehicle.

Three men were inside the vehicle parked in a parking lot of at Hibriten High School.

Police found Colt David Everhart in possession of meth and drug paraphernalia. The drugs were valued at $225.

Everhart was arrested and charged with felony possession with intent to manufacture, sell, deliver, or possession of controlled substance within 1,000 feet of school property. Everhart's initial court date was scheduled for Thursday, December 1, according to police.

He was given a secured bond of $60,000.
