CMPD looking for suspects involved in Panera Bread armed robbery, shooting

Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police are looking for two men they say are involved in an armed robbery with a car jacking at a Panera Bread.

The incident happened just after midnight on Friday at the Panera Bread on J.W. Clay Blvd. in University City, according to police.

The suspects fired shots inside the restaurant before robbing the business as they were making their escape. The suspects then stole the car of a female employee.

They got away in a red Mitsubishi Galant with a North Carolina license plate number DBF2992. If you have information regarding this incident, call police.
