A total reward of $25,000 is being offered for the arrest and convictions of the person(s) responsible for the death of Shelby Police Officer Tim Brackeen.
The reward consists of a $10,000 reward offered by Governor McCrory and an additional $15,000 from donations from various individuals; CrimeStoppers, City of Shelby, and county government.
Officer Brackeen was shot in the line of duty Saturday while searching for a subject who was wanted on outstanding warrants in the area of Parkview Street, according to authorities.

The suspect has been identified as Irving Lucien Fenner Jr., 23. Fenner's last known address is 2506 Blacksburg Road in Grover, North Carolina.
Officer Brackeen died Monday morning at Carolinas Medical Center as a result of the injuries he sustained in the line of duty on September 10.
He had been with Shelby PD for 12 years.
