Man wanted in Kings Mountain double shooting

- The Kings Mountain Police Department is searching for a man who they believe shot two people Thursday afternoon at a local apartment building before fleeing the scene. 

Justin Earl Ford, 24, of Kings Mountain, is wanted for assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill. 

Police said at 12:55 p.m. Thursday, August 3 they were called to the Kings Row Apartments for reports of shots fired. Upon arrival, they discovered two people, Trevon Mintz, 18, and Tracey Mintz Jr., 23, had been shot on scene however, the two were taken to the Kings Mountain ER in a privately-owned vehicle. 

One victim was treated at the ER while another was flown to CMC in Charlotte. 

The suspect, Ford, is described as a black male with long dread locks with black tips. He was last seen driving in a blue/gray Honda Accord possibly 2001 model year with tinted windows.
