LANCASTER, SC (FOX 46 WJZY) - The Lancaster County Sheriff's Office said a man turned himself in to authorities Thursday night following a shooting incident last month.
Foresio Jones was booked into the Lancaster County Detention Center and charged with attempted murder and possession of a firearm during the commission of a violent crime.
Around 7 p.m. Wednesday, July 19 deputies were called to 139 Melton Park Circle for reports of shots fired. On scene deputies learned that two women were taken to Springs Memorial Hospital in personal vehicles. A 21-year-old woman was being treated for non-life threatening gunshot wounds. The second woman was not hurt.
The initial investigation revealed an argument broke out among several woman on Melton Park Circle. During the fight someone fired shots at least twice, hitting the 21-year-old woman.
Lewis Johnson Jr., 19, was arrested in July in connection to this incident and charged with three counts of attempted murder and one count of procession of a firearm during the commission of a violent crime. He's currently being held at the Lancaster County Detention Center.
Following Jones turning himself in Sheriff Barry Faile said, "“With Jones in custody, we are closer to wrapping up this investigation. Investigators are reviewing all the information gathered so far and will determine soon whether other charges will be made.”
