CHARLOTTE, NC (FOX 46 WJZY) - Five people, including three children, have been transported to the hospital following an early morning wreck in south Charlotte, according to CMPD.
The crash happened at 5:32 a.m. Thursday, July 5 in the 7300 block of South Boulevard.
According to Charlotte-Mecklenburg police, a family traveling in a van were turning into Public Storage on South Blvd. across the street from the Arrowood Light Rail Station when another vehicle crashed into the van.
Of the five that were sent to the hospital, one young girl remains in critical condition.

Police tell FOX 46 Charlotte alcohol or drugs may be a factor in this wreck. The driver who struck the van has been taken into custody and is being brought to the hospital to be tested.
