- Four young man have been arrested in connection to the armed robbery of a pizza delivery driver overnight in northeast Charlotte, police said.

The four suspects have been identified as Joey Contreras, 19, John Smith Jr., 18, Kenan Peay, 20, and Dorien Martin, 17.

Officers responded to reports of an armed robbery at 1:07 a.m. Tuesday in the 17800 block of Halton Park Drive. A man, who was out delivering pizza, told police he had been robbed at gunpoint by four young men. The victim said he was hit in the head with a firearm during the robbery.

The suspects fled the scene in a white Dodge Ram pickup truck.

The vehicle, which had been reported stolen in Charlotte Monday night from a person who lived in the 7800 block of Spindletop Place, was spotted shortly after. CMPD officers attempted to pull the vehicle over, but the truck refused to stop and led police on a chase before hitting a Railroad Crossing-Arm on Graham Street at Atando Avenue.

Three of the four suspects were transported to the hospital for minor injuries they received in the crash, police said. A firearm was located and seized as evidence.
